Philip Thomas Psychotherapist
I am a very experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist and I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy which is one of the main registration bodies for psychotherapists practising in Britain.
I worked in the NHS as a Principal Adult Psychotherapist for 12 years with adult patients and similarly, I work individually with patients over the age of eighteen in my private practice.
I have more than twenty five years’ experience of working within a variety of mental health settings and I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in January 2005. My training organisation is the Arbours Association of Psychotherapists (AAP).
Much of my work as a psychotherapist has been within therapeutic communities, working with people with a range of complex emotional and psychological difficulties but I have also worked with patients on an individual basis in hospital outpatient departments and in community settings as well as in private practice.
I am registered with and fulfil the requirements of both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and AAP organisations with regard to Continuing Professional Development and I am fully insured to practice as a psychotherapist.
